THE UNKNOWN WORLD 1894-1895 - Arthur Edward Waite

Contemporary collected re-print of the rare esoteric journal by Arthur Edward Waite which ran for 11 issues between 1894 and 1895. Over 500 pages. The Unknown World was the first journal in English dedicated solely to Western esotericism. Though it was a critical success, it was a financial failure and closed after less than a year.

The magazine was edited by Arthur Edward Waite and founded by James Elliott and featured articles on a variety of occult and esoteric topics, including magic, mysticism, alchemy, the Kabbalah, spiritualism, and Hermetic archaeology. The magazine was intended for "the serious metaphysical thinker".

The entire print-run if is re-printed here, in its original form / layout with all the original illustrations. A fascinating presentation of this influential esoteric magazine published at the height of the Golden Dawn magical renaissance.

Condition : Very good. Some light wear to covers. Overall an excellent study copy.
